Will this training make a difference?

A respectful and positive workplace culture helps to reduce workplace stress, incivility and conflict and increase productivity, innovation and resilience.

If your workplace culture is less than pleasant and your workplace communication and productivity are affected, our training sessions provide reminders, promote personal responsibility and develop simple strategies to help.

Workplace values are not always interpreted the same way for every individual, in our training sessions we ask your team how they want to feel at work and then unpack the words they are using, for example what do they mean by ‘feeling appreciated or valued’?

Training sessions are not band-aids for poor workplace cultures but they do engage and remind your teams of the culture they desire and are entitled to and of their responsibility to think about their own workplace behaviours.

Respect, like any value, needs to be worked on. Respectful cultures don't just happen, they rely on respectful relationships and at times we can all forget what is respectful and compassionate behaviour at work.
Respect at Work works with your teams, presenting engaging and interactive training sessions that provide the reflection and reminders to give your team a culture re-boot.

My organisation is struggling with some specific issues, can the content be tailored to my specific needs?

Yes absolutely, let us know what the issues are and we will discuss with you how we can best meet your needs.

How many participants per session?     

25 max for face-to-face staff sessions, 15 max for face-to-face leadership sessions, 10 max for virtual training. 
Numbers are capped to allow best participation

Is it best to include managers in the room or not?

It depends on your team dynamic, if managers are not attending the training your staff will notice.  However sometimes management in the room stifles conversations, let’s have a chat about your situation.

Venue?

Respect at Work does not have a training room, most workplaces use a room on-site at their own workplace, however in some cases a workplace may choose to hire an off-site venue to ensure better participation and no distractions

Can training be made mandatory?

Yes, Respect at Work training is part of an organisation’s commitment to the workplace safety compliance and duty of care to all staff.

We have remote workers, can Respect at Work training be delivered on-line?

Yes it can. However Respect at Work training is best delivered face-to-face for optimal participation. Conditions for on-line delivery include maximum 10 participants and cameras on for everyone.

I would like training that has been tailored to my industry, can I request this?

Yes, all Respect at Work sessions are tailored to the workplace and as much as possible will use industry specific examples, if you would like something extra just ask :)

Will the content include legislation such as anti-discrimination, sexual harassment, and bullying?

Yes, Respect at Work training content refers to legislation and codes of practice and on request definitions and case examples can also be included that are specific to workplace and industry concerns/issues.

Workplace sexual harassment is prohibited under the Fair Work Act from 6 March 2023, and Safe Work Australia’s Managing psychosocial hazards at work Code of Practice (July 2022), expects workplaces to protect their workers mental health. Respect at Work training can assist you to understand and meet your workplace requirements.

Will the content include our workplace policies?

Respect at Work training content is always tailored to include the specific policies of the organisation and can also go into more depth if required.  Policy reviews can also be requested.

How much will it cost?

All group and individual training sessions are costed at $428.00 per hour (+ GST).

Course tailoring and resources are included in hourly fee however travel and accommodation fees (when necessary) may apply.
